  • UEFA chief Aleksander Ceferin confirmed today that the Rumuors about European Super League are fiction and UEFA has no plans to form breakaway league anytime soon. Quoted, Caferin said "I can confirm we have never seen, never discussed, never been involved in the creation of this document. We have some ideas. All I can say is that any Super League is out of the question. It will not happen. It is in a way a fiction now or a dream."

  • Marcus Rashford is keen on setting a new record for England national team after equaling a 52-year-old record set by Jack Charlton for the most England appearances in a calendar year yesterday. The Manchester United forward has represented the Three Lions 16 times since the beginning of 2018, drawing level with the World Cup winning centre-half’s total for 1966. Gareth’s Southgate side have played 17 times this year, also equaling the record set by Sir Alf Ramsey's 1966 world champions. Rashford has been a prominent figure in the England manager’s squad, scoring four goals and laying on one assist in a hugely successful year for the national side that has seen them rise to fifth in the FIFA World Rankings, as well as recapturing the attention and passion of a fanbase that had become largely disillusioned with the international setup.

  • Bayern Munich's woes seem to have sunk deeper as their midfielder James Rodriguez suffered a knee injury that is set to keep him out for the rest of the year. The Bavarians midfield has been depleted by injuries as Rodriguez becomes the fifth injured midfielder after Thiago Alcantara, Corentin Tolisso, Kingsley Coman and Arjen Robben all suffered injuries. James Was declared out for the rest of the season after examination by the club's doctor. Return date for James has not been said yet, but he will not be able to feature in any game this year.

  • Juventus duo of Mario Mandzukic and Blaise Matuidi have recovered from their injuries and have been included in the squad that is set to take on Manchester United at the Allianz Stadium in an 11 PM Today. Mandzukic and Matuidi were doubts ahead of the encounter with injuries but they have passed fitness tests and are in contention. Douglas Costa who was another injury concern for Juventus has been left out of the squad after failing to recover. Ronaldo has been included in the squad as he prepares to face his former side.

  • Real Madrid have sacked Julen Lopetegui as manager after four and a half months in charge at the Bernabeu. The Spaniard succeeded Zinedine Zidane in June but the crushing 5-1 El Clasico defeat by Barcelona on Sunday was their fifth loss in six games. Real, Champions League winners for the past three years, are ninth in La Liga after their worst start since 2001-02. Santiago Scolari from Real Madrid Castilla has been picked to replace Lopetegui as acting manager.

Manchester City Currently are on top of the EPL table over goal difference with 8 wins and 2 draws. They tie points with Liverpool. Pep Guardiola’s changes have been impressive away record from home this season winning at Arsenal at the start of the season before picking a point at Anfield and winning recently against Spurs. The Spanish manager added that competing at the latter stages of the Champions League and Premier League requires a lot, “We are a very good side of course but when you go to play in the last third of the Premier League and especially in Europe we demand other issues and points that we still don't have.”

  • After Christiano Ronaldo Departure, Real Madrid’s woes are set to deepen after Marcelo is reported to have handed in a transfer request. Rumors are he wants to reunite with Ronaldo at Juventus. The move is further fueled with reports that his Brazilian compatriot Alex Sandro has refused to commit his future at Juventus as he demands an increase in wages. Juventus are looking to either sell or loan him in the January transfer window after being a top transfer target to various English Premier League giants. The estimated cost for buying marcelo is around €50-60M, considering he extended his contract with Real Madrid last year September.

  • Andreas Pereira has revealed that the heated spat between manager Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba was due to a misunderstanding over an Instagram video. Pereira opened up about what sparked the burst up between Mourinho and Pogba in training, “We were winning the game 1-0 at the time of the video. Then we lost the game, and people said that Pogba posted later. But he posted before. The manager thought that Pogba had posted later. He asked him why that had happened. There was a mood about it. These things were out here in England. But I have nothing to do with it.”

    Pereira also defended mourinho claiming the Portuguese manager has good relationship with his players and the pressure coming from public does not affect them. He then added personally for him, he doesn't even follow English media so whatever the media says does not affect him. 

  • Usain Bolt currently plays for A-League team Central Coast Mariners and has scored 2 goals in one appearance. However he has snot been given a professional contract by the club. Bolt has expressed his concerns about the on going anti doping test that he has been subjected to since declaring his interest in becoming a pro footballer after retiring from tack and field in 2017. Bolt published a post in Instagram explaining how he was forced to provide samples of his urine and blood for test by the Football Federation of Australia. It will be interesting to see if the club will give him a contract and he will perform as a footballer considering that he is 32 years old now and he has just retired from a different sport profession.

  • Barcelona have agreed a deal to sign Antoine Griezmann, according to reports in France.

    The Atletico Madrid striker has been in poor form this season, scoring just twice in La Liga so far.

    Despite that, Manchester United and Barcelona are still expected to battle it out to sign the Frenchman in the summer.

    Reports claim the Catalans have claimed a march on their rivals by agreeing a deal in principle with the Frenchman.

    Griezmann was expected to join United last summer, but Fifa's decision to uphold their transfer ban against Atletico ended any hopes of a move.

    He penned a new deal, which saw his buy-out clause doubled from £85million to £170m for the summer window alone.
